PELVIC HEALTH FOR ATHLETES COURSE

6 week online course to overcome leakage and reach your fitness goals!

We can't wait to share this with you!

We are so excited to share with you our 6 week online Pelvic Health for Athletes Course designed to help female athletes perform their best and continue doing the activities that they love!  We are both so passionate about helping women stay active, and we hate when pelvic floor issues (leaking, rushing to the bathroom, pain) prevent you from doing the things you love or do them at your best.  So we teamed up to create this course that we are both so proud of!

This course is for you if:

  • You avoid certain exercises or activities because you’re afraid you’ll pee your pants.

  • You can’t perform at your best because you’re distracted by incontinence, pain, or other symptoms.

  • You’ve been told that bladder leakage is just something you have to live with after having kids.

  • You’ve been told to do Kegels, but you don’t know if you’re doing them correctly (or aren’t seeing improvement in your symptoms).

  • You experience any symptoms of pelvic floor dysfunction.

Common signs and symptoms of pelvic floor dysfunction:

  • Bladder or fecal incontinence (leakage)

  • Bladder or fecal urgency (need to rush to the bathroom to either pee or poo)

  • Feeling of heaviness or pressure “down there”

  • Pelvic pain (pain during sex or inserting a tampon; or may feel like abdominal cramping or bladder pain)

  • Feeling of weak core or instability

Even if you don’t consider yourself an “athlete,” this course is for you!

If you walk, run, do yoga, CrossFit, Zumba, barre, lift weights, or just generally try to stay active and healthy, then you are an athlete!  The athletic movements that we address in this course will be functional, daily movements (such as running, jumping, squatting) that will apply to you whether you’re a competitive CrossFit athlete or you stay active by running after your kids!

We understand...

  • That running/CrossFit/yoga/Zumba (fill in with your activity of choice) is important to you.

  • That it’s hard to find time to devote to yourself and your own self-care.

  • It can be tough to find a healthcare provider that listens and works with you towards your goals.

  • It can be embarrassing to discuss these issues with your doctor, partner, friends, etc.

  • You might feel alone in dealing with this and don’t know how to get the help and answers you need.

That’s why we made this course!

  • We don’t want you to have to stop your favorite activities and workouts – we want to help you keeping doing them!

  • Because it’s hard to make time for yourself, we’ve created this course to be completed on your own time and without ever having to leave home.

  • The information has been divided into bite-size chunks (20-30 minutes) so it can easily fit into your schedule.

  • You are not alone!  There will be a private Facebook group so that you can get the support and answers you need.  And you’ll meet an awesome group of women with similar goals and challenges as you.

Imagine where you could be in 6 weeks!

  • What if you could return to the gym/running (or activity of choice) in 6 weeks and no longer have to worry about peeing your pants?!

    • What an awesome thing to get out of this time spent in self-isolation!

  • We can’t guarantee what results you’ll see at the end of 6 weeks (everyone is different and each body is unique).  But we CAN guarantee that by the end of this course, you will have gained new tools, knowledge, and support to address your incontinence (or other pelvic floor symptoms)!

  • Imagine how empowering it will be to have this knowledge, and the confidence and sense of control you’ll feel!

Here's how it works:

Jaimie and Olivia are extremely knowledgeable and approachable - I highly recommend getting to know your pelvic floor and all the good things you can do for it with them!

As a mom, I thought incontinence was something that was part of motherhood…an unpleasant reminder of one of the biggest, happiest things you decided to do in your life. I’ve always tried to keep fit with running, hiking, and other outdoorsy things, so, given that the problem lingered for the year and a half since my son’s birth, I figured what I’d heard was true: “it’s just a natural side effect.” I even did kegels in spurts of time after my son entered our lives, but they never seemed to help so they always fell by the wayside. Then came something splashed across my FaceBook news feed, something I’d never seen offered before – a Pelvic Health class! Why not?

Olivia and Jaimie were great! Very knowledgeable, approachable and down-to-earth about something that most people find taboo to talk about. Oh! It also turns out I was doing kegels wrong. Yes, wrong. There’s a right way and several wrong ways. It’s been a bit over a month since I’ve taken their class and I’ve been doing kegels the right way since. I’m not going to say the problem is totally fixed, but it’s WAY better. I now believe that, as Jaimie said, I don’t have to live my life being worried about jumping more than once. Game on for jumping jacks, jumping rope, dancing my face off…let’s do this.
